Elizabeth I

My wife is a big fan of Queen Elizabeth I and her whole story. I knew quite a lot of it because I'm a fan of Elizabethan England. The other night I got sucked into watching the HBO miniseries Elizabeth I. (I only saw the second part).

Wow, what a story! Here's a poor woman with no one to turn to she can trust, running a country that is a snakepit of treachery and treason. I wanted her to execute Robert Devereux, Earl of Essex early in the movie he was so obviously using her, but it took a while for him to show himself as the total ass he is.

If you get a chance check this movie out. It's slow at first but picks up and is really good.
