Great Movies- The Godfather, Part II

My wife and I watched the Godfather, Part II the other night. It was a little disappointing because it was on television and so it kept getting interrupted by commercials, and the cussing was edited out, but wow, what a movie.

Just the cast alone is incredible. Al Pacino, Robert Duvall and Robert De Niro, and they all look sooo young (it was 1974 after all). Other members of the cast are fun to pick out because they go on to do other things. Bruno Kirby, Danny Aiello, Harry Dean Stanton, Roger Corman, Troy Donahue and even Dominic Chianese of the Sopranos all have roles in this movie.

Michael should have let Fredo live. Power corrupts and Michael went overboard with cleaning up the family business, but wow, what a movie. If you haven't seen it lately, go rent it or better yet, click the link below and get it at Amazon. It's worth watching again and again.
