Army High School All American Bowl

I watched some of the Army High School All American Bowl yesterday and was mighty impressed with those kids. I thought it was kind of cheesey the way the announcers went on and on about Terrelle Pryor when they could have sung the praises of Terrelle Pryor and a bunch of other kids too, but obviously he was the one they had decided to highlight. (For example he threw a touchdown pass to John Goodman where they went on and on about Terrelle Pryor's arm strength but barely mentioned the guy who caught the ball!)

Anyhow, it was a good game. The quarterback who is signed up for Notre Dame, Dayne Crist, made me a little nervous because he seemed to panic under the rush from the Eastern line, but I think it's clear that in an all-star game such as this, the mobile Michael Vick and Tim Tebow type running quarterback has the upperhand because the plays are simpler to script. As the east had Terrelle Pryor and MarQueis Gray, they had the upper hand.

Today I went looking for their rosters and had some trouble finding them. I found one that purported to be this year's roster but was clearly last year's, as it had Jimmy Clausen on it. I couldn't find one that had the name of the high school the kids attend, just the colleges they have committed to. As I'm a big fan of high school sports, I plan to go look at some of the top recruits and will bring you some info as soon as I'm done.
