Bayern Munich

Bayern Munich will be relieved to return to Bundesliga action after a hectic winter break. The Bavarians announced over the festive period that Jurgen Klinsmann would become the new coach at the end of the season, replacing the outgoing Ottmar Hitzfeld. His selection came as a bit of a shock, and he was flown in and out of Germany in 48 hours to sign the contract and deal with the media before leaving Hitzfeld in peace and quiet to bring the current campaign to its conclusion. After a 5-2 win over third-division side Wuppertal in the cup this week, his side lifted the curtain on the second half of the season at Rostock on Friday night with the coach feeling confident. "I think we are well prepared."
